VeliX is designed from the ground up to keep your files private and secure.
Local-First Architecture
All file transfers happen directly on your local network. Your files are never uploaded to any cloud server, third-party service, or external storage. The data goes straight from one device to another over your Wi-Fi or hotspot.
PIN-Protected WebLink
When sharing files via WebLink, VeliX generates a unique 6-digit PIN. Only people who have this PIN can access your shared files. Your IP address is hidden by default, and the session can be ended at any time.
Peer Approval System
In VoltX mode, you must manually approve every device that wants to join your session. No one can connect without your explicit permission. You can also lock the session to prevent new connections.
No Tracking or Telemetry
VeliX does not collect any usage data, analytics, or telemetry. We don't know what files you transfer, when you transfer them, or who you transfer them with. Your activity is entirely your own.
No Accounts Required
There is no login, no email, no password, and no account creation. You install the app and start sharing immediately. This means there's no database of user credentials that could be compromised.
Rate Limiting & Timeouts
VeliX includes built-in rate limiting to prevent brute-force attacks on PIN codes. Sessions also have automatic timeouts to prevent zombie connections from consuming resources.
